A BEAUTY CONTEST “SHASHBAULYM” WAS HELD AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

On March 18, 2026, at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, as part of “Digital Nauryz–2026” and the “Nauryznama” decade, a vibrant cultural and educational event — the beauty contest “Shashbaulym” — was held. The competition was organized at the initiative of the departments of biology, chemistry, ecology, and geography and was aimed at promoting national clothing, advancing traditional values of the Kazakh people, and fostering the spiritual and aesthetic development of youth.

The main goal of the event was to widely promote such qualities inherent in a Kazakh girl as modesty, wisdom, good upbringing, and creativity. Female students from the departments of ecology and geography, biology, physics and technology, chemistry, mathematics, as well as artificial intelligence and information technology took part in the contest, demonstrating their talents and abilities.

The competition consisted of several stages. In the first stage, “Business Card,” participants creatively introduced themselves and expressed their attitude toward national values. In the stage “A Girl’s Art is the Ornament of the Nation,” each contestant showcased her unique talent, winning the audience’s admiration. In the stage “Beauty in Knowledge,” the participants’ level of education, resourcefulness, and knowledge of traditions were evaluated.

One of the most striking stages was the contest “Amanzholov Student Uniform in National Style.” The participants presented modern design solutions for student uniforms, harmoniously combining traditional Kazakh ornaments with contemporary fashion trends. This stage became a creative platform for rethinking national culture and developing the aesthetic taste of young people.

The jury comprehensively evaluated the participants’ performances, taking into account their talent, level of knowledge, stage presence, and creativity, and determined the winners.

According to the results of the contest:
• Grand Prix — Uazhykyzy Nuray (Department of Biology);
• 1st place — Yeltaikyzy Sayazhan (Department of Ecology and Geography);
• 2nd place — Mukhametbekova Saya (Department of Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology);
• 2nd place — Amantayeva Dilnaz (Department of Physics and Technology);
• 3rd place — Mikhail Bibifatima (Department of Chemistry);
• 3rd place — Taigana Zhuldyzai (Department of Mathematics).

The “Shashbaulym” contest became a яркое and meaningful event that contributed to the revival of national spirit and the promotion of the beauty and spirituality of Kazakh girls, leaving warm impressions on all participants and guests.
