A POSTER COMPETITION “ECOLOGY THROUGH THE EYES OF STUDENTS” WAS HELD AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

At Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, a poster competition titled “Ecology Through the Eyes of Students” was held as part of “Digital Nauryz-2026” and the “Nauryznama” decade. The event was organized by the scientific and environmental club “Zhasyl Tolkyn” of the Department of Ecology and Geography.

The main goal of the competition was to foster environmental culture among students, increase their responsibility for environmental protection, and develop their creative abilities and ecological thinking. The event encouraged young people to treat nature with care and not remain indifferent to pressing environmental issues.

During the competition, participants presented posters reflecting key environmental topics of our time, including climate change, environmental pollution, water resource protection, and biodiversity conservation. Each work demonstrated depth of thought and a creative approach, leaving a strong impression on the audience.

The jury included Saltanat Adikanova, Dean of the Higher School of IT and Natural Sciences; Almaz Dzhakishev, Executive Secretary of the East Kazakhstan Regional Branch of the Green Party “Baitaq”; Saltanat Aitkozhina, Head of the Department of Ecology and Geography; and Didar Seitkhan, lecturer of the department. The works were evaluated based on content, originality, artistic design, and how well the theme was presented.

According to the results of the competition, the best works were awarded diplomas and letters of appreciation. The Grand Prix was awarded to Alina Vnukova and Veronika Svakhina. First place went to Tolkyn Mavlyutova and Assel Muzdaparova. Second place was awarded to Sabina Kuanganova and Zere Sovetova, as well as D. Asyamov, Amina Zheldibayeva, M. Zimina, V. Polkovnikova, M. Talkhitova, and A. Shaukenov. Third place was taken by Ainara Kairatkyzy and Zhuldyz Khalelova, S. Seikbol, A. Mazybayeva, Zh. Serikova, D. Domai, as well as A. Ismailova, I. Aslanbek, and D. Medetkyzy.

This competition became one of the university’s significant initiatives aimed at developing environmental education and awareness. It increased student engagement and strengthened their interest in environmental protection issues. Such events contribute to fostering environmental responsibility among young people and preparing future specialists capable of contributing to the preservation of the environment.
