A PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COURSE ON “DEVELOPING TEACHERS’ PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE IN THE CONTEXT OF LINKING THE CONTENT OF THE SUBJECT ‘CHEMISTRY’ WITH PRACTICE” HAS STARTED AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

At the Resource Center for Professional Training and Advanced Qualification of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, approved by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, advanced training courses for school teachers on the topic “Developing Teachers’ Professional Competence in the Context of Linking the Content of the Subject ‘Chemistry’ with Practice” are being held from April to May 2026.

The aim of the course is to develop teachers’ professional competence in connecting the content of the subject “Chemistry” with practice in order to improve the effectiveness of teaching and learning.

Main objectives of the course:

• knowledge of the organizational and methodological foundations for teaching the theoretical content of the subject “Chemistry” in connection with practice;
• designing an educational environment using student-centered and activity-based approaches;
• applying the capabilities of IT technologies and digital resources in teaching and educational practice.

Expected outcomes:

• demonstrates knowledge of the main directions and principles of state policy in the secondary education system закреплённых in the regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• demonstrates knowledge of the specifics of linking the content of the subject “Chemistry” with practice within the framework of the new educational paradigm;
• independently determines professional activity guidelines, achieves a high level of independent action, demonstrates social activity, and responsibly approaches the results of their work;
• masters methodologies for using IT technologies and digital resources in educational and pedagogical practice.

The course is conducted by Senior Lecturer of the Department of Chemistry of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, Orazova San Sovetbekovna.
