LEGAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THE CONSTITUTION DISCUSSED AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

An open lecture entitled “The New Constitution as the Legal Foundation of a Just Kazakhstan” was held at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University. The event was organised to enhance the legal culture of young people and deepen students’ understanding of the role of the Constitution in the life of the state and society.

The lecture was delivered by Gulmira Toleubekovna Bairkenova, Associate Professor of the Department of Jurisprudence and Candidate of Legal Sciences.

During the meeting, participants examined the amendments and additions introduced to the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, their significance for the country’s legal and political development, and the role of constitutional reforms in building a Just Kazakhstan.

Gulmira Toleubekovna Bairkenova spoke in detail about the importance of the Constitution in ensuring the rule of law and protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens, as well as explaining the main directions of constitutional reform. Particular attention was paid to civic responsibility, legal literacy, and active citizenship as important conditions for building a state governed by the rule of law.

Students actively participated in the discussion, asked questions on issues of interest, and exchanged views on the topics considered.

The open lecture became an important platform for improving legal literacy among young people, reflecting on constitutional values, and strengthening the principles of legality and law and order in society.
