“FAMILY AS A SPACE OF SUPPORT”: AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY STUDENTS TOOK PART IN A SEMINAR

On September 11, as part of Family Day Week, the Dana Bala Center for Continuing and Inclusive Education at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University held a seminar for students entitled “Family as a Space of Support.”

The speaker at the event was Elena Chernyakova, while Alima Alipova served as the moderator. The seminar was attended by students of the Primary Education (IP), Psychology, and Clinical Psychology educational programs.

Particular attention was paid to the practical aspects of professional work. Participants discussed the principles of interaction between teachers and parents, effective ways of providing support, and approaches to creating an atmosphere of trust in professional communication.

Each participant received a “For Future Teachers” guide containing the key principles of cooperation between teachers and parents, useful phrases for expressing support, and a reflective section entitled “My Professional Compass,” designed to help students consider their own professional attitudes and values.

The seminar also addressed the role of the family in a child’s upbringing and personal development. For future teachers, the ability to build relationships with parents based on trust and mutual understanding is an important part of professional competence.

The family is the first environment in which a child receives support, acceptance, and a sense of security. Future teachers, in turn, play an important role in preserving and strengthening this atmosphere within the educational environment.
