Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University hosted an open lecture by Michal Labenda, Chargé d’Affaires of the Republic of Poland in the Republic of Kazakhstan, entitled “Transformation of Poland on the Path to Modern Europe.”

The event was attended by The Chairman of the Board – Rector Gulzhan Jarassova, as well as students of the Kazakh Language and Literature educational program.

The lecture focused on the historical and cultural development of Poland, its place in modern Europe, social transformations, and the country’s adaptation to new social and political realities. Michal Labenda outlined the key stages in the transformation of Polish society, shared his perspective on contemporary Europe, and spoke about Poland’s role in its development.

The diplomat paid particular attention to the historical and cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Poland. The meeting addressed issues of mutual understanding and cooperation between the two countries, as well as prospects for further strengthening humanitarian, cultural, and social relations.

A particularly significant part of the meeting was Michal Labenda’s presentation in the Kazakh language. The diplomat communicated freely with students, expressed his ideas, and answered questions in Kazakh. This format created an atmosphere of open dialogue and made the meeting especially engaging and informative.

Following the lecture, students actively joined the discussion and asked questions about social transformations in Poland, current European processes, cultural interaction, and international cooperation. The open format of the meeting gave young participants an opportunity not only to gain new knowledge but also to share their own views on current international developments.

As part of his visit, Michal Labenda also visited the AI Amanzholov International Center for Artificial Intelligence. The guest was introduced to the Center’s main areas of activity, as well as opportunities for applying artificial intelligence technologies in education and research.

The Center presented the University’s educational and research initiatives in the field of artificial intelligence, as well as projects aimed at integrating digital technologies into the educational process. Michal Labenda learned about the Center’s activities and highly appreciated the University’s initiatives aimed at the effective use of artificial intelligence in education and science.

Such international meetings provide an important platform for broadening students’ horizons, learning about the history and culture of other countries, and gaining a deeper understanding of contemporary global processes. They contribute to the development of international dialogue, the strengthening of cultural and humanitarian ties between Kazakhstan and Poland, and the development of young people’s interest in international cooperation and the global academic environment.
