Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University hosted the regional final stage of the creative competition “The Law and I,” aimed at promoting the principle of “Law and Order,” the “Strength in Unity” project, and the implementation of the regional youth policy strategy for 2026–2027.
The event was organized by the Akimat and the Prosecutor’s Office of East Kazakhstan Region.
The competition brought together school students from general education institutions and college students from cities and districts across the region. Qualifying rounds were held in two cities and eleven districts, involving more than 700 school students and over 170 college students. The teams that advanced to the final demonstrated their creative abilities through theatrical performances addressing current social and legal issues.
Participants presented performances focusing on compliance with the law, personal responsibility for one’s actions, prevention of domestic violence and bullying, gambling addiction prevention, and the development of legal awareness among young people.
The performances were evaluated by a professional jury consisting of representatives of the Prosecutor’s Office, the theater community, youth organizations, and the Office of the Human Rights Commissioner. The winners were selected based on relevance to the competition theme, originality of the concept, quality of performance, stage presentation, and the social significance of the works.
The event also featured a creative program with the participation of students from Amanzholov University and the University’s Higher College.
At the conclusion of the competition, participants received letters of appreciation, while the winners and prize recipients were awarded diplomas and cash certificates: KZT 200,000 for first place, KZT 150,000 for second place, and KZT 100,000 for third place.
