NEW NICOTINE: SEMINARS ON VAPE SMOKING PREVENTION WERE HELD IN EKU

Department of Jurisprudence held a number of seminars for deputy directors of schools on educational work of Ust-Kamenogorsk city, directors of colleges of East-Kamenogorsk region and students of specialties “Jurisprudence”, “Judicial and prosecutor’s activity”. The theme of seminars was “Prevention of use of vape and electronic cigarettes”.
The participants were university professors Zhanna Sadykanova, Kuat Rakhimberdin, regional representative of the Ombudsman for Children’s Rights in VKO Aksana Kalenova and coordinator of the project “Promotion of healthy lifestyle in VKO-2023” Aigerim Batyrkhanova.
Kuat Rakhimberdin made a report on the problem of prevention of nicotine devices. According to him, for the last two years the turnover of vape devices in the country has increased 300 times. During the speech an informational video and an interactive map of Ust-Kamenogorsk, where 56 vape stores are marked, were demonstrated.
Specialist with medical education Aigerim Batyrkhanova made a presentation on “What is harmful to vape?”. The speaker noted that nicotine liquid disturbs the heart, central nervous system and lungs.
At the end of the seminars, vocational guidance work was conducted.
