Contest among students and teachers of Kazakhstani universities for the best video on the topic of peaceful atom.

 

Contest organizers: Kazakhstan Nuclear Power Plants LLP, Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Aims and objectives of the contest:

Popularization of Kazakhstani science and experience in the field of peaceful use of atomic energy;
Involvement of young people in the search for solutions to ensure energy security of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
expanding the knowledge of the population of Kazakhstan about the possibilities of peaceful atom and the world experience of its use;
supporting the idea of building a nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan;
development of Kazakhstani students’ critical thinking and creative approach to solving issues of national importance.

Contest participants: students and teachers of Kazakhstani universities.

Contest deadlines: the works independently produced by the contestants in accordance with the goals and objectives of the contest and published in social networks Instagram, Youtube, TikTok or Facebook in the period from November 10 to December 11, 2023 are considered.

Announcement of the results and awarding of the winners – December 20, 2023.

Conditions:

The video can be shot in any genre at the contestant’s discretion (informative material, interview, reportage, video clip, music, animation or humorous video, etc.), with a duration of 20 seconds to 3 minutes;
The title of the video must contain the hashtag #BeibitAtom;
The number of videos from 1 participant is not limited;
The contestant’s account must be open until the contest results are summarized;
The contestant must be subscribed to KNPP’s Instagram @knppkz and Telegram accounts https://t.me/knpp_kz ;
The winners of the contest will be determined by the contest committee according to the following criteria – content, originality, creativity, interest of the audience.
According to the results of the contest, the winners will receive monetary (from 50,000 to 200,000 tenge) and incentive prizes (KNPP branded products);
Any works participating in the contest can be subsequently used by KNPP LLP in outreach work with the population.
