A LARGE-SCALE ANTI-CORRUPTION FORUM WAS HELD
On the eve of the International Anti-Corruption Day, an anti-corruption forum “Zhastar – eldің tireri, үkіlі үmіti” was held in VKU with the aim to form intolerance to manifestations of corruption. The event was organized jointly with the Department of the Anti-Corruption Service of the East Kazakhstan Oblast and the NGO “Center for Independent Research”.
Within the framework of the forum was held the final stage of the student competition “Meninң sybaylas zhemkorlyққa karsy sөzim”, launched in November of this year. Thus, 10 students demonstrated their skills in public speaking, highlighting anti-corruption policy and culture on the big stage. All of them competed for prizes and cash awards of 100,000 tenge, 70,000 tenge and 50,000 tenge.
The members of the jury were the head of the prevention department of the Department of the RK Agency for Anti-Corruption in East Kazakhstan Arkhat Beisembayev, the head of the East Kazakhstan regional branch of the Republican Public Association “Әdildik Zholy” Adil Pshenov and associate professors of the university Saken Hasenov, Saule Sadykova, Zhanna Sadykanova.
All contestants prepared a short but capacious speech about their vision of anti-corruption policy, drawing attention to the role of the young generation in the state important topic.
According to the results of the jury, the most convincing speaker was Zhiger Sarsenbai, a student of the Higher School of Business and Law, who distinguished himself with a confident self-presentation and excellent diction.
– It is not the first year I have been a member of the debate club, I am an experienced speaker. I think this has had a great impact on my confidence on stage. I am happy that I became a winner and won 100 000 tenge with my own efforts. Thanks to all the organizers for such a moral and educational event. Everything was fair and interesting, – shared the winner.
Second place and a certificate for 70,000 tenge was won by Marina Mukamet. The third place prize and 50,000 tenge went to Dilnaz Kayyrbek.
It should be noted that all participants of the competition were awarded with letters of thanks for active participation and valuable prizes.
