HOW THE UNIVERSITY IMPLEMENTS THE SERPIN PROGRAM

In Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University more than 350 state educational grants are annually allocated to numerous specialties of the university within the framework of the project “Serpin”.

More than 30 youth clubs and sports sections operate in the university for the participants of the state program. The Kabanbai Batyr Military Department offers a two-year training course for future officers.

Youth from Turkestan, Kyzylorda, Zhambyl, Almaty and Zhetysu regions can take part in the project “Serpin”.

Benefits are provided for applicants from large and single-parent families, families with a child with a disability from childhood, for orphans and those left without parental care, persons with disabilities of I and II groups and applicants with disabilities from childhood.

Over the 11 years of the program, more than 1,000 students have been trained at East Kazakhstan University. East Kazakhstan University’s overall employment rate for Serpinovians is 97%. This is one of the record indicators in the country.

It should be noted that the Serpin project remains an important tool for leveling the regional imbalance in the labor market.
