CRIMINAL LIABILITY OF MINORS: A SUPPLEMENTARY EDUCATION COURSE

From October 12, 2025 to January 12, 2026, the Resource Center for Professional Training and Advanced Studies at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University organized and conducted a supplementary education course titled “Specific Features of Criminal Liability of Minors.” The course was designed for second- and third-year students of the educational programs “Judicial and Prosecutorial Activity” and “Jurisprudence.”

The course was taught by Raissa Anuarovna Orsayeva, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor, and lecturer at the Department of Law.

The main purpose of the course was to explain the essence of criminal offenses committed by minors and to reveal the specifics of bringing them to criminal liability. It also covered measures for crime prevention, as well as issues related to planning and developing crime prevention policies. Students were introduced to the specifics of criminal cases involving juvenile offenders, learned to provide legal and criminological assessments, and analyzed such cases using contemporary statistical data.

Upon completion of the course, the Director of the Resource Center for Professional Training and Advanced Studies, Bakytgul Issebaeva, awarded certificates to the participants. A total of 20 students successfully completed the course. The acquired 6 credits and course title will be included in the students’ academic transcripts.
