AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY BECAME A PLATFORM FOR DISCUSSING INCLUSIVE EDUCATION
A republican seminar titled “A Comprehensive Approach to Supporting Children with Special Educational Needs: Experience, Challenges, and Prospects” was held in the East Kazakhstan Region at the Sarsen Amanzholov University. The event brought together leading specialists in inclusive education from across the country.
The seminar was organized by the Department of Education of the East Kazakhstan Region. Its implementation was driven by the strategic objectives of building an inclusive society outlined in the President’s Address, as well as the implementation of the Concept of Inclusive Policy for 2025–2030. The relevance of the event was further highlighted by the fact that April is globally recognized as Autism Awareness Month.
During the seminar, participants discussed key issues related to the support of children with special educational needs. Special attention was given to interagency cooperation between the education, healthcare, and social protection systems. Experts emphasized that only a comprehensive approach and coordinated work among different specialists can ensure high-quality support and development for every child.
The aim of the event was to develop effective support models, exchange practical experience, and formulate concrete proposals aimed at improving the accessibility and quality of inclusive education at the regional level.
The seminar was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, education department specialists, methodological center staff, heads of psychological-medical-pedagogical consultations, autism centers, as well as school principals and special education teachers.
The program included panel discussions, practical sessions, and workshops where participants presented successful cases and discussed existing challenges. Particular interest was drawn to practice-oriented approaches focused on early diagnosis, individualized support, and the social integration of children.
Based on the results of the seminar, recommendations were developed to improve the inclusive education system, strengthen interagency cooperation, and implement modern support methodologies.
Holding such events at the university confirms its status as an important scientific and educational center contributing to the development of inclusive policy and the training of qualified specialists in this field.
