RESKILLING AND UPSKILLING: OPPORTUNITIES AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY.

Today’s labor market is rapidly evolving under the influence of digitalization and technological transformation. Employers increasingly seek not only specialists with fundamental knowledge but also professionals who possess up-to-date competencies and are committed to continuous learning and development. As a result, the concepts of reskilling—acquiring a new profession within a relatively short period—and upskilling—enhancing existing professional qualifications—have become especially relevant.

Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University provides extensive opportunities for professional growth and career development. Currently, the university offers 44 educational programs leading to micro-qualifications. These programs are delivered in a flexible format and are designed to meet the demands of the modern labor market. Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate confirming the acquisition of new competencies.

For professionals without a pedagogical background who wish to pursue a career in education, the university offers an eight-month teacher retraining program. The curriculum comprises 60 academic credits and is implemented through a dual education model that combines theoretical studies with practical training. Participants master modern teaching technologies and develop essential psychological and pedagogical competencies.

In 2026, the university launched a new program, “PR0012 – Pedagogical Retraining for Special Education Teachers.” The program enables participants to obtain an additional qualification in special education, including oligophrenopedagogy, surdopedagogy, typhlopedagogy, and speech therapy.

Amanzholov University serves as a reliable platform for professional growth, career advancement, and successful adaptation to the changing demands of today’s labor market.
