AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY HOSTS CEREMONIAL EVENT TO MARK MEDIA WORKERS’ DAY

A ceremonial event dedicated to the professional holiday of media workers was held at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University. The event brought together representatives of leading regional television channels, national and regional print media, news agencies, press services of government institutions, and media professionals.

The event opened with a welcoming address by Mukhtar Adilbekovich Tolegen, Chairman of the Board – Rector of the University and Professor, who congratulated the journalism community on their professional holiday. He highlighted the important role of media representatives in society, emphasizing their contribution to the country’s development and the formation of public opinion.

During the celebration, journalists, editors, television correspondents, heads of media organizations, press service representatives, and university alumni who have made a significant contribution to the development of the information space of East Kazakhstan Region were presented with Letters of Appreciation from the Rector and monetary certificates.

Among those honoured were the Chairperson of the East Kazakhstan Regional Branch of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan, correspondents of national and regional media outlets, journalists from Qazaqstan, 24KZ, Astana, and Eurasia television channels, representatives of Egemen Qazaqstan, Kazakhstanskaya Pravda, and Menin olkem newspapers, as well as press secretaries of government institutions and communications specialists.

As part of the celebratory evening, first-year student Rasul Idayatov, enrolled in the Kazakh Language and Literature educational programme, performed a special dedication to journalists and expressed his sincere best wishes to them. On behalf of the award recipients, Olzhas Kereikhan, correspondent of Qazaqstan television channel for East Kazakhstan Region, delivered a speech and thanked the university administration for its attention and recognition of the work of media professionals.

Amanzholov University highly values its cooperation with media representatives and intends to continue joint efforts aimed at strengthening open dialogue between society and the education sector.
