DIGITAL SECURITY: PRACTICAL SEMINAR HELD AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University held a methodological seminar entitled “The Use of Case-Based Learning in Information Security Education.”

The event was organized as part of a range of initiatives aimed at improving cybersecurity culture and developing students’ skills for safe behavior in the digital environment.

The seminar was conducted by Zhanetta Serikova, lecturer at the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Information Technologies. Students of the Information Technology and Physics and Computer Science educational programs took part in the event.

During the seminar, participants examined the use of case-based learning in the study of information security and completed practical tasks based on real and simulated situations. Students analyzed the proposed cases, identified potential threats, and developed measures to prevent them.

The practice-oriented format made it possible to connect theoretical knowledge with specific situations. It also contributed to the development of analytical and critical thinking, informed decision-making skills, and the ability to find effective solutions to problems.

The seminar concluded with an exchange of views. Participants discussed current issues, shared their conclusions, and received answers to their questions.
