AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY STUDENTS PRESENTED NATIONAL TRADITIONS IN HONOR OF NAURYZ

A festive event dedicated to the celebration of Nauryz was held at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University. The event was attended by third-year students of the educational program 6B01703 “Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages” from the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation Studies.

During the event, students and guests of the university were introduced to the national traditions and customs of the Kazakh people. Special attention was given to important ritual traditions such as Tusau Kesu and Besikke Bөleu, which were presented in the form of theatrical scenes.

During the performance, the students explained in detail the meaning and symbolism of these rituals, as well as their educational role in Kazakh culture. The Tusau Kesu ritual symbolizes a child’s first steps — during the ceremony, the child is wished a happy path in life and a bright future. The Besikke Bөleu tradition introduces the ritual of placing a newborn in a cradle, highlighting its cultural and educational significance within the Kazakh family.

The participants performed in national costumes and vividly reenacted the traditional rituals. This allowed the audience to become more familiar with the rich cultural heritage of the Kazakh people and to deeply appreciate the significance of national values.

The festive program conveyed the atmosphere of Nauryz and aimed to promote national traditions among students, foster respect for cultural heritage, and preserve the spiritual values of the people.
