AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY OFFICIALLY INTRODUCED ITS NEW RECTOR

Today, Amanzholov University officially introduced its new Rector, The Chairman of the Board – Rector Jarassova Gulzhan Sagidullaevna.

The event marked an important milestone for the University community and signalled the beginning of a new stage in the institution’s development.

Among the distinguished guests were Madiyar Duisenbayuly Kozhakhmet, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Nurymbet Amanovich Saktaganov, Akim of East Kazakhstan Region; and Mukhtar Adilbekovich Tolegen, Rector of Auezov University.

Addressing the University community, Nurymbet Amanovich Saktaganov, Akim of East Kazakhstan Region, emphasised the special role of higher education institutions in training qualified specialists and developing human capital. He recalled the words of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the strategic importance of universities: “A university should be not only a centre for training specialists, but also a strategic centre contributing to the socio-economic development of the country.”

According to Nurymbet Saktaganov, a modern university must respond to the needs of society and the economy, create conditions for training competitive specialists, introduce research developments into practice, and implement new initiatives.

The appointment of The Chairman of the Board – Rector Jarassova Gulzhan Sagidullaevna opens up new prospects for Amanzholov University. Among the key priorities are improving the quality of education, strengthening research capacity, supporting innovative projects, expanding international cooperation, and creating favourable conditions for the education and professional development of students and faculty members.

An important part of the event was devoted to continuity in the University’s leadership. During the tenure of Mukhtar Adilbekovich Tolegen, significant work was carried out by the University team to improve educational and research activities, strengthen the institution’s position, and create conditions for its further development.

Today, the new leadership faces the tasks of further improving the educational process, expanding research activities, strengthening cooperation with academic and professional partners, and enhancing the University’s competitiveness.

Particular attention will be paid to new opportunities for students and faculty members, including academic mobility, research initiatives, professional development, and participation in modern educational projects.

The official introduction of the new Rector became a starting point for the implementation of new plans and initiatives aimed at strengthening Amanzholov University’s position in the regional educational and scientific landscape.
