“A CLEAN KAZAKHSTAN STARTS WITH ME”: CURATORIAL HOUR HELD FOR ECOLOGY STUDENTS

As part of the implementation of the nationwide environmental initiative “Taza Qazaqstan,” Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University held a curatorial hour for first-year students of the Ecology educational program entitled “A Clean Kazakhstan Starts with Me.”

The purpose of the event was to promote environmental culture, improve environmental literacy among young people, and strengthen personal responsibility for the condition of the environment.

During the curatorial hour, students were introduced to the main goals and objectives of the Taza Qazaqstan initiative and discussed the importance of caring for nature, maintaining cleanliness, and developing responsible environmental behavior.

Particular attention was paid to the role of young people in implementing environmental initiatives, the rational use of natural resources, waste reduction, and adherence to the principles of sustainable development.

As part of the meeting, first-year Ecology students Ruslan Sidorov, Dias Maksutov, Darya Kormina, Albina Akhmetova, Kristina Golovina, and Ramil Khaibullin delivered presentations. They shared their views on environmental culture and personal responsibility and emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness and order at the University, in the city, and in natural ecosystems.

During the meeting, it was noted that the effective implementation of the Taza Qazaqstan initiative begins with the everyday actions of each individual. Simple habits such as maintaining cleanliness, using water and electricity responsibly, reducing waste, and participating in environmental campaigns make an important contribution to environmental protection.

Such meetings are particularly important for future ecologists, as their professional activities will be directly connected with environmental protection, the rational use of natural resources, and ensuring environmental safety.

“A Clean Kazakhstan Starts with Me” is a principle that reflects each person’s contribution to preserving nature and keeping their home region clean.
