The first stage of the contest ‘The Best University Teacher’ is launched

The first stage of the competition starts on 1 November and will last until 11 November.

The competition is open to the teaching staff (full-time teachers) who have a continuous scientific and pedagogical experience of at least five years at the time of submission of documents for the Competition, and high achievements in teaching and research activities.

The purpose of the Competition is to improve the professional and pedagogical culture of the university teaching staff, the level of teaching and educational work, to stimulate the activity of the scientific potential of teaching staff by creating favourable conditions for professional self-realisation, increasing motivation for further professional development of teachers.

The competition is held in two stages – intra-university and national. The application and documents for participation in the contest ‘The Best University Teacher’ are accepted in electronic format through the information system of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education universitycontest2024.iac.kz.

An expert group from among the staff and teaching staff of HEIs checks all the received documents. Based on the conclusion of the expert group, the commission of the university makes a decision on the participation of the contestants in the second round – the republican one.

The republican stage starts on 18 November 2024.

It should be noted that in addition to monetary rewards for daily labour, the winners of the contest ‘The Best Teacher of the University’ will also receive a badge.

The competition will be held on the basis of an information system, through which participants will be able to observe the transparency of all stages.
