YOUNG LECTURERS’ SCHOOL UNDERWAY AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY
Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University is holding the “Young Lecturers’ School” course organized by the Resource Center for Professional Training and Professional Development.
Around 40 young lecturers are taking part in the course. They include specialists who completed their master’s and doctoral studies last year or this year and have recently begun their teaching careers at the University.
The main goal of the “Young Lecturers’ School” is to support the professional adaptation of early-career specialists in higher education, improve their teaching skills, and develop the competencies required for the effective organization of the educational process.
The educational program covers practical and methodological issues related to lecturers’ professional activities. Particular attention is paid to organizing classes, effectively supporting students’ independent work, developing and using syllabi, applying regulatory documents governing the educational process, and complying with academic requirements.
A separate section is devoted to current issues in modern education. Young lecturers are introduced to opportunities for the effective use of artificial intelligence tools in the educational process and discuss the principles of inclusive education and the importance of creating a comfortable learning environment for every student.
As part of the course, a special lecture entitled “Legal and Regulatory Framework for the Professional Activities of Academic Staff at Higher Education Institutions” was delivered by Yerzhan Bagdanovich Domalatov. During the session, the key legal and regulatory documents governing the professional activities of higher education teaching staff were reviewed.
The “Young Lecturers’ School” creates favorable conditions for early-career specialists to successfully integrate into the University’s academic environment, adopt modern teaching approaches, and systematically develop their professional competencies.
The meetings and practical sessions organized as part of the course are aimed at unlocking the professional potential of young lecturers and further improving the quality of the educational process.
