ALTAI STATE UNIVERSITY REPRESENTATIVES SHARED EXPERIENCE IN PROMOTING SCIENCE IN THE MEDIA SPACE OF AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University hosted a meeting with representatives of Altai State University — Maksim Gerasimyuk, Director of the Department of External and Internal Communications, and Irina Smolyaninova, Head of the Press Center of the Scientific and Educational Center.

The guests shared their experience in promoting science in the media space and spoke about ways to present complex scientific topics to a wider audience, promote research projects, and increase the visibility of scientific initiatives in Kazakhstan and Central Asian countries.

During the meeting, participants were introduced to a popular science film produced as part of the “Greater Altai” project, the Center’s official website and virtual museum, the “Media-Nauryz” competition, and effective practices for covering scientific events in the media. Particular attention was paid to projects related to archaeological expeditions, schools for young researchers, and the digital promotion of scientific heritage.

The meeting became a platform for exchanging professional experience and discussing opportunities to present research findings to a broader audience in a more accessible way, strengthen the presence of scientific projects in the media space, and further develop science communication.

Cooperation between the universities in this area opens up new opportunities for exchanging best practices and promoting scientific initiatives.
