AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY AND KAZZINC DISCUSSED PROSPECTS FOR COOPERATION

As part of the visit of the Nazarbayev University delegation to East Kazakhstan Region, representatives visited Kazzinc, one of the region’s largest industrial enterprises.

The Chairman of the Board – Rector Gulzhan Jarassova of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University became acquainted with the company’s production and technological processes, as well as its industrial capabilities.

During a meeting with Kazzinc’s Managing Director for Administrative Affairs, the parties discussed promising areas of cooperation in the training of engineering and research personnel, the implementation of joint research, including in chemistry and materials science, and the introduction of scientific developments into industrial processes.

Particular attention was paid to developing practice-oriented cooperation between universities and industrial enterprises. Combining the scientific and educational potential of universities with Kazzinc’s production facilities creates opportunities for implementing joint projects, training highly qualified specialists in demand, and introducing research results into the real sector of the economy.

The visit also highlighted the role of graduates of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University who continue their professional careers in leadership positions at major organizations across the country. Nazarbayev University Vice President Assel Uvaliyeva, an alumna of Amanzholov University, supports the development of new areas of cooperation between educational and research institutions.

Following the meeting, the parties outlined prospects for developing a long-term partnership between Nazarbayev University, Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, and Kazzinc.

Cooperation between universities and the industrial sector is aimed at advancing scientific research, improving specialist training, and creating opportunities for joint projects of practical importance to the region.
