AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY AWARDS A 4-YEAR EDUCATIONAL GRANT TO A TALENTED APPLICANT
Today marks a special milestone in the legal history of our country as the updated Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, initiated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, entered into legal force. This historic event ushers in a new era dedicated to reinforcing the rule of law, building a just society, and advancing the state of law. On this momentous day, Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University continued its longstanding tradition of supporting future legal scholars by awarding a full educational grant to a promising applicant.
Committed to fostering talented and ambitious youth, the University Academic Council granted applicant Merey Kurmanov a four-year scholarship for the “Jurisprudence” undergraduate program. In addition to tuition coverage, he has been provided free accommodation in the university dormitory throughout the entire duration of his studies.
The university maintains strong institutional partnerships with law enforcement agencies, the prosecutor’s office, and the judicial system. To ensure future lawyers can effectively combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice, collaborative educational initiatives, field training, and internships are implemented on an ongoing basis. Through the framework of the “Strength in Unity” project, the university annually awards educational grants to gifted prospective students planning to pursue careers in law enforcement, offering comprehensive support for their professional growth.
During the grant presentation ceremony, the university leadership emphasized that broadening access to high-quality education and empowering talented youth remain top strategic priorities. For the university, investing in future students is a vital investment in the nation’s progress.
Merey Kurmanov aims to become a prosecutor and dedicate his career to upholding law and justice. The university faculty and staff expressed confidence that his diligence, dedication to learning, and high sense of responsibility will propel him toward achieving his professional goals.
Supporting aspiring professionals is an established tradition at Amanzholov University. Last year, under the “Strength in Unity” project and following the “Law and Order” competition, an educational grant was awarded to Yekaterina Malinovskaya, who enrolled in the “Judicial and Prosecutorial Activity” program. Today, she ranks among the top students, excels academically, and actively leads her academic group as class representative.
University administrators noted that such initiatives make a substantial contribution to providing quality education, fostering career readiness, training qualified legal personnel, and cultivating social responsibility. Amanzholov University will continue to systematically expand collaborative programs with law enforcement and prosecutorial bodies while empowering talented young leaders.
