AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY DOCTORAL STUDENTS PRESENT THEIR RESEARCH FINDINGS AT THE ERC 2026 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN TAMPERE

A doctoral student of the 8D01502 – Physics educational programme at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, Aziza Akhtanberdina, together with her academic supervisor, PhD, Associate Professor Lazat Sarkytbekovna Baimoldanova, participated in the Emerging Researchers’ Conference (ERC 2026), held at Tampere University, Finland.

The international academic event was organised within the framework of the European Educational Research Association (EERA) and provided early-career researchers in the field of education with an opportunity to present the findings of their research and exchange professional experience in an international academic environment.

As part of the conference, Aziza Akhtanberdina presented the findings of her research entitled “Development of Students’ Analytical Skills through Project-Based Learning in an Adaptive Physics Learning Environment,” conducted within the framework of her doctoral dissertation.

The study examined the potential of project-based learning, adaptive approaches, and thought experiments in physics education. Particular attention was paid to the development of students’ analytical skills, including hypothesis formulation, logical reasoning, analysis, and interpretation of obtained results.

The research findings demonstrated positive progress in the development of students’ analytical skills and showed that the application of these approaches facilitates a transition from searching for ready-made answers to independent analysis and problem-solving in physics.

The doctoral student’s academic supervisors are Mazhyn Kanapinovich Skakov, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, and Lazat Sarkytbekovna Baimoldanova, PhD, Associate Professor.

Participation in ERC 2026 provided an opportunity to present the findings of the doctoral research to the international academic community, receive professional feedback from international scholars, exchange research experience, and become acquainted with current trends in educational research.

In addition, the joint participation of the doctoral student and her academic supervisor in the conference provided an opportunity to discuss the subsequent stages of the dissertation research and identify areas for its further improvement in line with contemporary trends in educational science.
