AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY EXPANDS INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC COOPERATION: PROFESSOR FROM MALAYSIA SHARES EXPERTISE

Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University is hosting an academic programme as part of its initiative to engage international scholars, featuring Jati Kasuma, Professor at the Faculty of Business and Management of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia, and PhD in Management.

The visit of the international expert has created a valuable platform for the exchange of knowledge and professional perspectives. Lectures and research seminars have been organised for faculty members and doctoral students of the Department of Economics, Management and Finance, focusing on current issues of economic development, management, and modern approaches in business.

Particular interest was generated by the research seminar entitled “The Malaysian Development Model: Experience of Emerging Economies.” The discussion focused on Malaysia’s large-scale economic transformation, including its transition from raw material exports to the production of high value-added goods, the development of industrial policy, and the search for effective tools to overcome the “middle-income trap.”

The discussion went beyond the study of international experience. Participants considered which elements of the Malaysian model could be relevant to Kazakhstan and examined their potential application in light of the specific characteristics of the national economy.

Such meetings are valuable not only for the content of the lectures and seminars. They also create a space for professional dialogue, new research ideas, and direct interaction with representatives of the international academic community.

The participation of Professor Jati Kasuma marks another step in strengthening the international ties of Amanzholov University. Engaging international experts enables the University to integrate advanced scientific approaches into the educational process, broaden the scope of research activities, and create new opportunities for the professional development of faculty members and doctoral students.
