AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS DISCOVERED THE TRADITIONS OF KAZAKH HORSE CULTURE

A horse-riding activity was organized for international students of Amanzholov University. Students from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan took part in the event.

The activity gave students an opportunity to become more familiar with one of the distinctive cultural traditions of the Kazakh people – the art of horse riding. During the ride, participants learned the basic techniques of riding and handling horses and acquired new practical skills. They also had an opportunity to communicate in an informal setting and get to know one another better. For some students, it was their first experience of horse riding.

The main purpose of the initiative was to support international students, help them adapt to a new educational and cultural environment, strengthen friendly relations, and promote intercultural communication. The outdoor activity also allowed students to take a break from their daily studies, enjoy new experiences, and gain a deeper understanding of Kazakh traditions.

Such initiatives are an important part of the University’s educational and extracurricular activities. They help international students learn more about the history and culture of Kazakhstan, experience the country’s tradition of hospitality, and make new friends. As a result, students become an integral part of the multicultural community of Amanzholov University.
