AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY STUDENTS DEVELOPED ENVIRONMENTAL MODELS AS PART OF A PRACTICAL CLASS

Third-year students of the 6B05202 Ecology educational program at the Department of Ecology and Geography of the Higher School of IT and Natural Sciences of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University developed environmental models as part of a practical assignment for the course “Scientific and Environmental Design.”

The main purpose of the practical work was to deepen students’ knowledge of environmental design, apply theoretical knowledge in practice, and develop a creative approach to addressing current environmental challenges.

During the assignment, students explored modern approaches to environmental design and presented their own ideas aimed at the rational use of natural resources, reducing environmental pollution, and promoting environmental sustainability. Developing the models allowed students to demonstrate their knowledge, project skills, and ability to find practical solutions in the field of environmental protection.

The practical work was also linked to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 12 – “Responsible Consumption and Production.” This area places particular emphasis on the efficient use of natural resources, waste reduction, and minimizing anthropogenic pressure on the environment.

Such practical classes contribute to the development of environmental thinking and a responsible attitude toward nature, while helping future specialists master the principles of sustainable development and apply them in their professional activities.

The practical assignment was organized by Bibigul Serikkyzy Daukenova, Lecturer at the Department of Ecology and Geography.

Environmental design provides students with opportunities to implement innovative ideas, search for effective solutions to environmental problems, and contribute to the conservation of natural resources. Such initiatives create a strong foundation for training specialists capable of responding to modern environmental challenges and contributing to a sustainable future.
