AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY STUDENTS STUDY IN LITHUANIA UNDER THE ACADEMIC MOBILITY PROGRAM

Students of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University — Sabina Aitkazina, Ulbolsyn Aman, and Shugyla Delderkanova — are studying at Vytautas Magnus University in the Republic of Lithuania as part of an academic mobility program.

Participation in the program gives students an opportunity to become familiar with a foreign higher education system, gain international academic experience, and immerse themselves in a multicultural learning environment.

According to the students, from the first days of their stay in Lithuania they were particularly impressed by the organization of the educational process, the international student community, and the wide range of opportunities for learning and personal development. Despite some initial nervousness, they gradually adapted to the new environment and became actively involved in university life.

“We are especially interested in meeting students from different countries and learning about their cultures and traditions. In addition, the opportunity to observe student life at another university and develop greater independence has become a valuable experience for us,” the students shared.

During their studies, the students are becoming familiar with new teaching methods, exploring different approaches to completing academic assignments, and expanding their academic competencies. Classes conducted in a foreign language are particularly important, as they help improve language proficiency, develop communication skills, and build greater confidence in an international environment.

Academic mobility is an important component of the internationalization of higher education. It contributes to the expansion of international academic ties, the development of intercultural communication, and the improvement of professional training for future specialists.

For students of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, participation in such programs opens up new educational opportunities, enables them to exchange experience with peers from other countries, and helps them develop competencies that are in demand in today’s professional environment.
