AN REGIONAL OLYMPIAD IN THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE FOR SCHOOL STUDENTS WAS HELD AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

At the Department of Kazakh, Russian Philology and Journalism of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, a regional Russian language Olympiad was held for middle school students.

Approximately 50 school students from the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk and districts of the East Kazakhstan region took part in this intellectual competition.

The Olympiad included participants from both Kazakh-language and Russian-language instruction schools. During the competition, students completed tasks in Russian lexicology, word formation, and morphology.

According to the results, first place among students from Russian-language schools was awarded to Timur Saduev, a student of School No. 9. Among students from Kazakh-language schools, first place with equal scores was shared by Raihan Mukatay, a student of School-Lyceum No. 44 named after Oralhan Bokey, and Aibota Toktarbayeva from Menovnoe Secondary School.

The Olympiad contributed to supporting talented school students, increasing interest in the Russian language, and strengthening cooperation between the university and regional schools.
