Representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Basic Military Training of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University visited the Department’s branch based at Tavricheskaya Secondary School and held a career guidance meeting with students in Grades 10–11.
During the meeting, the school students learned about the Department’s educational programs, the specific features of study, and opportunities for professional development in the relevant fields. Particular attention was paid to physical education, practical training, and basic military training.
Viktor Viktorovich Suntsov, a lecturer at the Department, conducted a practical demonstration of the standards for putting on personal protective equipment, including the combined-arms protective suit. The students learned about the procedure for using chemical protective equipment and the requirements for completing the established standards.
A shooting master class for the school students was conducted by Zhomart Temirlan, a fourth-year student of the Physical Education and Basic Military Training educational program. He demonstrated aiming techniques, explained the fundamentals of shooting, and emphasized the importance of strict compliance with safety requirements.
The sports part of the event continued with a friendly volleyball match between a team of Department students and the Tavricheskaya Secondary School team. The game gave participants an opportunity to demonstrate their athletic skills, strengthen team spirit, and build friendly interaction.
Such career guidance meetings strengthen cooperation between the University and schools and help students become more familiar with teaching professions, physical education, and basic military training. They also contribute to the development of patriotic values among young people and motivate school students to lead a healthy lifestyle.
