ENVIRONMENTAL CAMPAIGN HELD AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY AS PART OF THE “TAZA QAZAQSTAN” PROGRAM

As part of the national Taza Qazaqstan program, the Department of Ecology and Geography of the Higher School of IT and Natural Sciences at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University organized an environmental campaign entitled “Ecology Begins with Each of Us.”

The main purpose of the event was to promote environmental awareness among students and faculty members, increase responsibility for the condition of the environment, and encourage a caring attitude toward nature.

Participants cleaned the University grounds, collected litter, and carried out activities aimed at maintaining cleanliness and order. The campaign became a practical example of how personal initiative and joint efforts can contribute to environmental protection.

The event was also linked to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 11 – “Sustainable Cities and Communities,” which includes the creation of safe, resilient, and environmentally friendly public spaces.

The environmental initiative emphasized the importance of youth participation in maintaining a clean environment and implementing the principles of sustainable development. Such activities help foster a responsible attitude toward public spaces and strengthen the understanding that caring for nature begins with the everyday actions of each individual.
