“FAMILY – THE FOUNDATION OF THE NATION”: INTELLECTUAL QUIZ HELD AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

An intellectual quiz entitled “Family – the Foundation of the Nation” was held at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University in celebration of Family Day.

The main purpose of the event was to promote family values, national upbringing, and cultural heritage, increase participants’ intellectual engagement, and strengthen interaction between students and University staff.

Eight teams took part in the intellectual competition, consisting of University faculty members, representatives of the Higher College, active students, and members of student organisations. Participants tested their knowledge and ingenuity in a variety of areas, demonstrating quick thinking and the ability to make well-reasoned decisions.

The quiz questions covered not only family values, but also the national traditions and culture of the Kazakh people, literature, history, art, cinema, and music. Participants were also given logic-based tasks, making the competition even more diverse and engaging.

During the competition, the teams demonstrated not only their level of knowledge, but also the importance of unity and mutual support. The outcome of the intellectual game depended not only on the individual knowledge of the participants, but also on effective teamwork.

The family is a special environment in which a person’s moral values are formed and national traditions are passed down from generation to generation. In this context, events dedicated to Family Day contribute to strengthening young people’s respect for national values and help them better understand the important role of the family in society.

The final results of the competition were as follows:

1st place – “Exclusive” team
2nd place – “Bikeshter” team
3rd place – “Baiterek” team

The winning teams received prizes, while the other participants were presented with Letters of Appreciation for their active participation and contribution to the competition.

The “Family – the Foundation of the Nation” quiz became a meaningful event that brought together knowledge and national values, intellectual engagement, and team spirit. Such meetings strengthen an atmosphere of mutual respect within the University and create opportunities for young people to participate actively in social and cultural initiatives.
