“KAZAKHSTAN THROUGH THE EYES OF THE WORLD”: INTERCULTURAL EVENT HELD AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University hosted the intercultural event “Kazakhstan Through the Eyes of the World,” dedicated to Republic Day of Kazakhstan.

The event was organized by the Department of Strategy, International Cooperation and Accreditation together with international students and University volunteers.

The event brought together representatives of different countries and cultures, becoming a platform for friendly communication, cultural exchange, and learning about national traditions. International students from Indonesia, Mongolia, Morocco, China, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Türkiye presented their countries and spoke about their history, cultural features, customs, and traditions.

Each presentation gave participants an opportunity to become more familiar with the unique identity of different peoples and learn more about their values and cultural heritage. The students shared a part of their culture and demonstrated that, despite differences in languages and traditions, people are united by common values – respect, openness, kindness, and the desire for mutual understanding.

The event gained particular significance as it was dedicated to Republic Day of Kazakhstan. This holiday symbolizes important stages in the development of Kazakhstani statehood, the unity of the people, and respect for national values. For international students, the meeting provided an opportunity to learn more about Kazakhstan, its culture and traditions, and to feel part of the wider University community.

University volunteers made a significant contribution to organizing the event and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Their participation enabled everyone to take initiative, share knowledge, and become part of a shared cultural dialogue.

Such events contribute to the development of intercultural interaction, the strengthening of international ties, and the formation of an open educational environment in which representatives of different countries learn to understand and respect one another.

“Kazakhstan Through the Eyes of the World” was not only an introduction to the cultures of different nations but also an opportunity to strengthen friendship, bring people together, and demonstrate how cultural diversity enriches the University community.

Different cultures – one big family united by friendship, respect, and a shared commitment to peace!
