LEYLA BAIZHUMANOVA HONORED WITH DEPARTMENTAL AWARD “FOR CONTRIBUTION TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NATIVE LANGUAGE”

Senior Lecturer and Master of Natural Sciences at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, Leyla Toleubayevna Baizhumanova, has been awarded the departmental badge of honor “For Contribution to the Development of the Native Language” by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This distinction is conferred upon individuals who make significant contributions to advancing state language policy, elevating the status of the Kazakh language, and expanding its use in education and science. The badge serves as high recognition of dedicated service to promoting the native language.

Leyla Toleubayevna is a seasoned educator with decades of experience in higher education. In 1987, she graduated from the Karaganda State Medical Institute, later earning a Master of Natural Sciences degree from Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University. She has been actively serving in higher education since 1991.

Currently, Leyla Toleubayevna lectures on “Industrial Sanitation,” “Ecotoxicology,” and “Disaster Medicine,” playing a vital role in preparing future professionals. Her research focuses on the health status of industrial workers in Ust-Kamenogorsk and the physiological impact of occupational environments.

Alongside teaching, she plays an active role in campus life. Over the years, she served as Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee, contributing extensively to student recruitment and career counseling. Since 2014, she has led the university’s “Serpin” program headquarters, assisting youth from across various regions of Kazakhstan in pursuing higher education and integrating into a new academic setting.

Continuously refining her professional skills, Leyla Toleubayevna completed an international fellowship at Uludağ University in Türkiye, where she examined modern educational methodologies.

Her long-standing, conscientious work has earned numerous state and civic honors. Previously, she received Certificates of Honor from the Nevada–Semipalatinsk International Anti-Nuclear Movement, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as awards from the East Kazakhstan Regional Akimat and Regional Maslikhat.

The ministerial badge “For Contribution to the Development of the Native Language” marks another milestone recognizing Leyla Toleubayevna’s academic career and dedicated efforts to expand the use of the state language.
