NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR SCIENCE AND THE ADVANCEMENT OF AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University has been allocated 30 state educational order quota places for postgraduate education for the 2026–2027 academic year. This state allocation opens new pathways for training research personnel and reinforcing the university’s research potential, marking an important milestone in implementing the institution’s development strategy and cultivating East Kazakhstan’s professional talent pool.

Today, the university is expanding high-demand academic disciplines, including Pedagogy, STEM, IT and Artificial Intelligence, Physics, and other forward-looking fields, tailored to modern challenges, regional needs, and human capital development objectives.

In line with the university’s strategic goals toward 2030, key targets include:

  • Increasing the proportion of graduates employed in their field of study to at least 70%;

  • Implementing more than 10 joint projects with industry partners;

  • Commercializing and applying at least 15 scientific research outcomes;

  • Expanding institutional participation in Erasmus+ programs;

  • Doubling the number of successfully defended doctoral dissertations.

Special priority is given to developing modern research infrastructure. The university plans to establish hybrid STEM spaces and AI laboratories, the “Adal Azamat” e-book center, as well as specialized research facilities in nuclear and radiation technologies.

The 30 allocated state order places offer new opportunities for early-career researchers, the advancement of scientific initiatives, and the training of specialists in high demand across the region and beyond.
