REGULAR MEETING OF THE ACADEMIC COMMITTEE HELD AT THE DEPARTMENT OF BIOLOGY

A regular meeting of the Academic Committee was held at the Department of Biology of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University. The primary objective of the meeting was to enhance the quality of the department’s educational and methodological activities, improve academic programs, and systematically organize preparations for the 2026–2027 academic year.

The meeting was attended by the department’s faculty members, heads of educational programs, and members of the Academic Committee. Participants discussed strategic matters concerning preparations for the upcoming academic year in detail.

In accordance with the agenda, a range of key issues was addressed. First, the Academic Committee reviewed the outcomes of its work for the 2025–2026 academic year. An analysis of the completed educational and methodological work, curriculum modernization results, teaching process improvements, development of students’ professional competencies, and overall education quality enhancement was conducted. Additionally, the effectiveness of initiatives implemented during the past academic year was evaluated, and core priorities for the upcoming period were defined. Following the discussion, the Academic Committee approved its work plan for the 2026–2027 academic year.

The next agenda item focused on the review of course syllabi for the new academic year. The content of academic disciplines was analyzed for alignment with modern educational standards, labor market demands, and academic program objectives. The syllabus structure, expected learning outcomes, evaluation criteria, and teaching methodologies underwent comprehensive assessment, incorporating feedback from committee members. Based on the deliberations, the course syllabi were officially approved.

Participants also addressed the availability of educational and methodological resources for academic disciplines in the new academic year. An analysis was conducted regarding textbooks, methodological guidelines, electronic learning resources, and digital content. Special focus was placed on advancing the educational and methodological base required for high-quality instruction, alongside developing proposals to align the study process with modern requirements.

Another key issue discussed was the readiness of the department’s educational and methodological packages for the 2026–2027 academic year. The packages were evaluated for compliance with program goals, regulatory standards, and the integration of modern pedagogical technologies. Following the review, the department’s educational and methodological packages were recognized as fully prepared and approved for use.

During the meeting, the approval of implementation certificates for educational, scientific, and methodological materials planned for integration into the learning process was also addressed. An expert evaluation of their quality and effectiveness was carried out, emphasizing their significance for enhancing curriculum content. As a result, the implementation certificates were unanimously approved by the members of the Academic Committee.

In conclusion, it was emphasized that the adopted decisions will contribute to further advancing the department’s educational activities, elevating the quality of methodological work, reinforcing the competitiveness of educational programs, and ensuring high standards in training future specialists. The members of the Academic Committee also highlighted the necessity of sustained efforts to develop the department’s scientific and pedagogical potential, widely implement innovative educational technologies, and enhance students’ professional competence in the new academic year.
