REGULAR MEETING OF THE ACADEMIC COUNCIL HELD AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

A regular meeting of the Academic Council was held at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University. During the session, participants addressed key priorities concerning the university’s strategic development, the expansion of international cooperation, educational quality enhancement, and the promotion of student civic engagement.

A central agenda item focused on the progress of the university’s internationalization strategy, reviewing existing challenges alongside future prospects. In addition, members discussed advancing the “third mission” of universities, preparing learners for active civic life, and fostering their social competencies and leadership skills.

The council also examined the implementation of the state quota program for rural youth, incentive mechanisms for faculty and students to advance English language proficiency, and strategies to increase publication output in international indexed databases.

Members of the Academic Council reviewed workload calculation standards for teaching and pedagogical staff for the 2026–2027 academic year and evaluated the readiness of the admissions committee for the upcoming admissions campaign. Furthermore, the agenda covered career guidance initiatives, graduate employment tracking, and the allocation of state educational grants.

Following the discussions, relevant resolutions were adopted across all agenda items, and clear tasks were assigned to the designated university departments.
