“ULY DALA ZHYRLAIDY”: FESTIVE POETRY EVENING DEDICATED TO REPUBLIC DAY HELD AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY
Amanzholov University hosted the festive poetry evening “Uly Dala Zhyrlaydy,” dedicated to Republic Day of Kazakhstan. The event was organized by the Higher School of Humanities.
From the very beginning, guests were welcomed by the sounds of the dombra, creating a festive atmosphere and introducing participants to the distinctive character of Kazakh national music. An art exhibition also decorated the University space and became part of the cultural setting of the event.
One of the significant moments of the evening was the “Kitap Tusaukeser” book presentation ceremony. Honored guests ceremonially cut a ribbon at a special display, symbolizing the opening of a new chapter in the cultural life of the University and emphasizing the importance of books, education, and spiritual values.
The main program brought together poetry, music, and theatrical art. Talented Amanzholov University students recited poems, performed on the dombra, and presented stage performances based on well-known literary works. Through artistic expression and musical compositions, they highlighted the beauty of the native language, the depth of national traditions, and the connection between generations.
International students were also invited to the event to become more familiar with Kazakhstan’s cultural heritage. They had an opportunity to watch creative performances, listen to national music, and learn more about the country’s literary traditions. Their participation created opportunities for intercultural dialogue and strengthened mutual understanding among representatives of different cultures.
Among the honored guests were Zhuman Manatbekovich Manatbekov, a history teacher of Kazakhstan and expert teacher at Nazarbayev Intellectual School, and Nazigul Yermekovna Iskanova, Director of Sarsen Amanzholov Secondary School. The creative program also featured Dias Beisembekov, a Grade 10 student, and Meruert Kozykanovna Mukasheva, representing the Zhambyl D.B.A. OMMShI.
The “Uly Dala Zhyrlaydy” poetry evening became part of the Republic Day celebrations and a reminder that literature, music, and art play an important role in preserving national identity. Such initiatives help young people develop their talents, maintain interest in cultural heritage, and introduce representatives of different countries to the history and traditions of Kazakhstan.
