ACADEMIC COUNCIL MEETING HELD AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

A meeting of the Academic Council was held at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University under the chairmanship of The Chairman of the Board – Rector Gulzhan Jarassova.

One of the key items on the agenda was a review of the results of the 2025–2026 academic year and the objectives for the 2026–2027 academic year. The meeting also addressed the implementation of the University Development Programme for 2024–2029 and identified priorities for the upcoming period.

Gulzhan Jarassova noted that the University’s strategic priorities for the coming years are focused on improving the quality of education, strengthening research capacity, and increasing the practical relevance of research. An important objective remains the implementation of scientific developments in practice and their application to addressing current challenges of the region’s socio-economic development.

During the meeting, issues related to improving educational programs, implementing research projects, and modernizing laboratory facilities were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the commercialization of research results, the expansion of international cooperation, and the development of academic mobility.

The agenda also included the integration of artificial intelligence and digital technologies into the educational process. Their use is regarded as one of the tools for improving modern educational practices and increasing the effectiveness of research activities.

A separate part of the meeting was devoted to the development of an inclusive environment and the creation of conditions for realizing scientific and educational potential.

Following the meeting, the priority tasks of Amanzholov University for the new academic year were identified and the relevant decisions were adopted.
