“AI CHALLENGE” STUDENT CASE CHAMPIONSHIP: INNOVATIVE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE-BASED PROJECTS PRESENTED

Today, the Department of Physics and Technologies of our university organized the student case championship “AI Challenge.” The main goal of the event was to develop students’ skills in applying artificial intelligence technologies in professional activities, foster innovative thinking, and enhance digital competencies.

Students from six educational programs of the department participated in the championship. Over the course of two weeks, they developed projects in their respective fields using artificial intelligence technologies. Today, the participants presented their innovative solutions and practical projects to the jury members and audience.

In the welcoming speech, the organizers noted that artificial intelligence has become one of the key directions in the development of education, science, and the economy. Particular emphasis was also placed on the initiatives of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, aimed at the widespread implementation of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in the country, as well as the AI-SANA program focused on developing AI competencies among youth.

Today, the Department of Physics and Technologies represents a multidisciplinary structure combining pedagogical, engineering, nuclear energy, industrial-technological, and creative fields, providing students with opportunities to apply modern technologies in practice. The projects presented during the championship demonstrated an effective combination of specialized knowledge and the capabilities of artificial intelligence.

The jury included Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, Amerikhan Rakhimzhanov, who also evaluated the participants’ projects. The jury paid special attention to the relevance of the projects, their practical significance, and innovative features.

In their projects, participants presented new ideas in the fields of automation of production processes, improvement of educational platforms, implementation of AI in creative industries, and optimization of technological solutions.

Such events not only contribute to the professional development of students, but also help shape a new generation of specialists proficient in artificial intelligence technologies.

At the end of the event, gratitude was expressed to all participants, and the best projects were recognized with special awards.
