AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY TOOK PART IN THE “SHYGYS SALBURYNY – 2026” FESTIVAL

The international “Shygys Salburyny – 2026” festival and the 1st Asian Open Cup in berkutchi competitions were held in the village of Bozanbai, East Kazakhstan Region. The large-scale event became an important occasion that brought together admirers of national art and traditions and showcased the richness of the cultural heritage of the Kazakh people. The community of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University traditionally took an active part in the festival.

Under the leadership of The Chairman of the Board – Rector Gulzhan Jarassova, a special yurt was set up at the festival grounds and became a center of spiritual culture, where guests could learn more about the national traditions and cultural heritage of the Kazakh people. University representatives welcomed visitors and contributed to promoting national values and centuries-old traditions.

The festive program featured folk songs and kuis, as well as demonstrations of Kazakh customs and traditions. International students studying at the University also had an opportunity to become more closely acquainted with Kazakh culture and gain a deeper understanding of the meaning and significance of the country’s national heritage.

Salburyn is a distinctive cultural tradition of the Kazakh people that reflects the art of hunting with birds of prey, harmony between people and nature, and continuity between generations. Large-scale events of this kind not only help promote national values but also contribute to passing them on to younger generations and strengthening intercultural ties.

Preserving the priceless heritage of our ancestors and passing it on to future generations is our shared responsibility. May national art continue to flourish, and may the rich traditions of the Kazakh people live on and be passed from generation to generation!
