AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY: EXPANDING ACCESS TO DIGITAL EDUCATION AND DEVELOPING MOOCS

Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University continues its systematic work on digitalizing the educational process and integrating modern educational technologies. An important milestone in this direction was the hosting of seven Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) developed by the university on the Skills Enbek professional training platform, which is tailored to the labor market of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Massive open online courses provide students, professionals, and anyone seeking to enhance their qualifications with access to high-quality educational resources. The courses feature a flexible learning format, allowing participants to study materials at their convenience and build their expertise. Furthermore, learners who successfully complete a program receive a certificate verifying their learning outcomes.

To date, 337 learners have enrolled in the online courses offered by the university. Among them, 136 have successfully completed their studies and earned certificates. Representing approximately 40% of the total registered participants, this figure highlights the strong demand for the courses.

Hosting MOOCs on the Skills Enbek platform marks an essential stage in advancing the university’s digital educational ecosystem. This initiative not only expands the accessibility of academic programs but also actively fosters lifelong learning principles.
