A strategic session titled “EKU – 2029: International Rankings, Sustainable Development, and Global Competitiveness” was held at Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University. The event brought together the university leadership, deans of higher schools, heads of academic departments, and leaders of structural units.
The strategic meeting was led by Irina Rovnyakova, Deputy Chairman of the Board and Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and International Relations.
During the session, participants conducted an in-depth review of the university’s development priorities, addressing ways to enhance competitiveness in the international educational space, improve standings in global rankings, integrate sustainable development principles, and elevate the quality of education to a new standard.
Participants presented their proposals for the university’s strategic development plan leading up to 2029, placing special emphasis on scientific advancement, expanding international collaboration, increasing academic mobility, refining digitalization processes, and adapting to modern educational trends.
Furthermore, discussions centered on strengthening the university’s position in the global education market, advancing partnerships with foreign institutions, and generating new opportunities for students and faculty members.
Concluding the event, attendees emphasized the importance of collective efforts in achieving institutional goals and shared perspectives on implementing initiatives aimed at strengthening Amanzholov University’s international standing.
