AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY REPRESENTATIVES STUDIED INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE IN AI IMPLEMENTATION IN CHINA
Representatives of Amanzholov University took part in a professional development program organized by the technology company TYRION.AI in Shanghai. The meeting was held as part of the international educational program “Kazakhstan AI Study Trip to China 2026” and focused on modern approaches to applying artificial intelligence in education, business, and industry.
The Kazakhstani delegation included Member of the Board – Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University Nurlana Bauyrzhanovna Alimbekova and Dean of the Higher School of IT and Natural Sciences Saltanat Sailarbekkyzy Adikanova.
During the meeting, held at the Lingang Artificial Intelligence Industrial Zone in Shanghai, TYRION.AI Chief Technology Officer Oscar Ouyang presented the company’s experience in developing and implementing AI solutions, as well as its approaches to training specialists for work in the context of digital transformation.
One of the central topics of discussion was the impact of artificial intelligence on the labor market and the changing requirements for graduates’ professional competencies. Participants noted that today there is growing demand for specialists who can combine technical knowledge, analytical thinking, communication skills, and the ability to apply acquired knowledge to solve practical problems.
In this context, particular attention was paid to improving educational programs, strengthening their practical orientation, and developing cooperation between universities and employers. The importance of training students through real professional scenarios was emphasized as a way to develop the competencies required for successful work in modern technology-driven industries.
A separate part of the program focused on the use of artificial intelligence in teaching. Participants explored the potential of AI tools for preparing lesson plans and educational materials, developing assignments tailored to students’ individual needs, creating interactive educational resources, and introducing elements of gamification.
The use of such tools can optimize lesson preparation and expand teachers’ methodological resources. At the same time, verifying the accuracy of AI-generated information, adhering to pedagogical principles, and developing students’ independent and critical thinking remain essential conditions for their effective use.
An important part of the meeting was the presentation of a specialist training model that combines theoretical learning with practical work. The model includes studying the principles of artificial intelligence technologies, industry-specific processes, data analysis methods, professional communication and consulting, as well as developing AI-based solutions.
The practical component involves analyzing specific tasks and creating demonstration projects using digital tools. This approach promotes closer integration of academic knowledge with the requirements of the professional environment and helps students prepare for solving real-world industry challenges.
Participants were also presented with an example of the use of artificial intelligence and data analytics in business processes based on a case involving the international company Unilever. The discussion focused on opportunities to optimize sales, manage inventory, accelerate product turnover, and improve resource efficiency. The case demonstrated how working with real business challenges can serve as an effective tool for students’ professional training.
During the professional dialogue, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation among universities, research organizations, schools, and IT companies. Particular interest was given to cooperation models in which educational institutions provide the scientific and academic foundation for projects, industry representatives identify practical needs, and technology companies participate in developing digital solutions.
Applying this approach in education creates opportunities to develop AI tools tailored to the needs of schools and universities, update the content of educational programs, and improve teachers’ digital literacy. Participants also considered the importance of combining the academic preparation of future teachers with the practical experience of practicing educators and specialists from educational organizations.
Participation of Amanzholov University representatives in the TYRION.AI professional program provided an opportunity to learn about international practices in artificial intelligence implementation, discuss current trends in digital education, and identify promising areas for cooperation with technology companies.
The experience gained is of practical value for further improving the University’s educational programs, developing the digital competencies of faculty members and students, and expanding cooperation among education, science, and industry.
The international “Kazakhstan AI Study Trip to China 2026” program is being held from October 11 to 19, 2026, in Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Chongqing. During the visit, the Kazakhstani delegation is studying the experience of Chinese technology companies, universities, educational organizations, and robotics centers, with a focus on opportunities to apply modern technologies in training highly qualified specialists in demand.
