As part of the celebrations marking the 240th anniversary of the city of Ridder, an international scientific and practical conference titled “The City of Ridder: Dimensions of Historical Space” was held. The large-scale scientific event brought together scientists, historians, local historians, faculty members of higher education institutions, and experts from various regions of the country.
The conference focused on a wide range of issues, including the history and archaeology of the region, environmental protection and the sustainable use of natural resources, the economic development potential of Rudny Altai, as well as the development of local history studies and tourism.
Professors and researchers from Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University delivered presentations at the plenary session of the scientific forum, presenting the results of their research and sharing their academic expertise.
In particular, Aizhan Maratbekovna Kartava, Director of the Abai Studies Research Institute, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor; Raushan Kalymbekovna Nurbekova, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor; Zhanetta Amangeldinovna Kalimoldina, Master of History, Member of the Board – Vice Rector for Educational and Social Affairs, Senior Lecturer; and Berdibek Nuraldinovich Biyarov, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, presented their research findings.
In their presentations, the scholars focused on the historical and cultural heritage of Ridder, the specific features of regional development, the preservation of national values, and the importance of scientific research. The conference also provided an opportunity to exchange views on strengthening cooperation in science and education and advancing regional studies.
The international conference contributed to strengthening the connection between science and society and helped identify new areas for studying historical heritage and regional development.
