AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY STUDENT BECOMES PRIZEWINNER OF NATIONAL “EVEREST CUP 2026” TOURNAMENT

On May 30–31, 2026, the national debate tournament “EVEREST CUP 2026” was held in Semey at the Alikhan Bokeikhan University, initiated by the intellectual debate club “Everest” and dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the birth of the national movement leader Alikhan Bokeikhan.

The large-scale tournament brought together top debaters from various regions across the country, showcasing a high standard of preparation and skill. A total of 20 fractions competed in meaningful, rigorous debates, demonstrating eloquence, analytical thinking, and critical analysis skills.

Following the tournament results, Zhiger Sarsenbayev, a student of Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University, earned an honorable 2nd place, representing the university with distinction at the national level.

This achievement highlights the strong intellectual potential of the students and the successful development of debate culture at the university. Participation and victories in such events foster leadership qualities, develop critical thinking, and strengthen civic engagement among young people.
