EARLY IDENTIFICATION OF CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS DISCUSSED AT AMANZHOLOV UNIVERSITY

At Amanzholov University, Acting Head of the Department of Psychology and Special Education, Y. E. Kukina, participated in a working meeting dedicated to the discussion of a model of interdepartmental cooperation aimed at the early identification of children with special educational needs and the provision of early support.

The meeting was organized by the head of the Regional Psychological, Medical and Pedagogical Consultation Center of the Education Department of the East Kazakhstan Region, R. T. Baichinov.

The discussion was attended by representatives of the education and healthcare systems of the region. Among them were the Chief Pediatrician of the East Kazakhstan Region, G. M. Kussainova, the Head of the Department for Maternal and Child Health of the Regional Health Department, A. M. Komshabayeva, as well as other specialists in the field.

During the meeting, issues of coordination between various agencies were considered in order to ensure timely identification of children with special educational needs and the provision of comprehensive early support. Special attention was given to the development of effective mechanisms of interaction between the education, healthcare, and social service sectors.

The participation of a university representative in this event demonstrates the important role of the institution in strengthening interdepartmental cooperation at the regional level, as well as in improving scientific-methodological and practical approaches to the development of an early support system for children with special educational needs.
